Mermaid tiaras, what the heck?

As far as I can remember, I always wanted to be a mermaid. Yeah, you got that right! The Little Mermaid set completely unrealistic expectations for the little girl I was at the time. Around 7, I asked my best friend to buy me a mermaid costume for my birthday… or did he offer to buy me one? I cannot remember for the life of me. I’m still waiting though!

If I’m sharing my completely irrelevant childhood memories with you, it’s because of this new trend. Flower crowns are out. Mermaid tiaras have taken over the world.

Question is, do we like it? or is it just too ridiculous to wear except in the privacy of your own bedroom?

Let’s be honest, unless you’re a mermaid wannabe, or doing it for a living (it’s an actual job, wallah), mermaid tiaras are not that convenient to wear.

BUT who cares?! We love their glittery exuberance and shiny sea shells that smells like holidays in Bali.

In a time and age where everybody can pretty much be anything they want to be , and with Halloween around the corner, I would definitely order my own one since you can’t even count on childhood friends. *pouting since 1994*

If Lady Gaga can still be fashionable in a dress made out of meat, we can certainly find a dress matching a glowing mermaid crown… or die trying.

But I’m going to leave you guys here. King Triton doesn’t like when his daughters wander too far off the realm under the sea and I can already hear Sebastian screaming my name. *swims away with her tiara*
